Here’s a little acquisition news held over from last week that I initially missed while covering all the goodness that arose out of CinemaCon 2024. Well Go USA has acquired the North American rights to the new Dutch military actioner Invasion which tells the harrowing tale of elite Dutch Marines who must fend off a massive attack when the islands of Aruba and Curacao are invaded by a dictator and his army of insurgents. What follows is ample amounts of ammunition spent, death defying acts of valor and countless explosions to entertain action cinema disciples. Check out the international Dutch trailer and artwork below as we wait for the official Well Go USA version below! Warning…there are no subs for the trailer, but I don’t think any of you will care as the action set pieces do all the talking for you.
Per Deadline: The drama unfolds in the wake of an unexpected attack on the Dutch overseas territories of Curaçao and Aruba by a neighboring dictatorship.
As the conflict rapidly escalates, the barracks in Aruba come under fire and the airspace is closed, but the Dutch ambassador is yet to be evacuated. Three young marines embark on a daring rescue mission.
The cast features Tarikh Janssen, Jasha Rudge, Ortál Vriend, Gijs Blom, Gijs Scholten van Aschat, Raymond Thiry and Fedja van Huêt.
The movie is co-written by Philip Delmaar and Lucas de Waard from an idea by Errol Nayci at Storytellers, who is producing. The film was made with the logistical support of the Royal Dutch Navy.

Upon viewing the original trailer, I’m sold and there’s nothing like the view of spent ammo shells falling to the ground as our heroes unload massive and ridiculous amounts of firepower. The film has a very polished sheen to it and the production values look first rate with some impressive military battle action that is sure to fill two/thirds of the film’s running time.

Studiocanal Head of International for films and series Sales Chloe Marquet had the following to say about the acquisition news: “We’re very happy to have secured international partners in key markets for our action-packed film Invasion.”
She went on to say, “the film delivers multiple impressive action sequences with high production value, in the exotic landscapes of the Caribbean Basin… Invasion will enjoy a long life and we are thrilled to collaborate for the first time with Well Go for the US release of the film, we trust their experience to bring this crowd-pleaser to the American audience.”
Dutch FilmWorks released Invasion in its native Netherlands on April 11th so lock n load right here for future Intel on Well Go USA’s launch here in the states along with new domestic trailer and key art!
