Known mostly for his stripped down crime thrillers and bloody balletic bullet fests, indie action cinema maestro William Kaufman (Shrapnel) is taking a stab at some rather rad science fiction infused with military grade action in the new and upcoming film Osiris. What if I told you Sarah Connor herself, Linda Hamilton, was going tactical once again in her first movie in five years starring in a movie which also stars The Unit’s Max Martini who was also recently seen in Kaufman’s top tier action drama The Channel? Yeah, I figured that would get your attention. Don’t take my word for it though. Check out Hamilton locked n loaded in the first look image below!

Osiris has another thing going for it and that’s a balls to the wall plot featuring Hamilton, Martini and fellow cast members Brianna Hildebrand (Deadpool), LaMonica Garrett (1883) starring as elite commandos battling a savage race of aliens. It may not be terminators but my money is always on Hamilton and especially when she’s unleashing a hell storm of tracer fire from a tactical precision weapon.
Per Deadline: In the film, a team of Special Forces commandos are in the middle of an operation when they’re abducted by a mysterious spacecraft. When they wake up aboard the ship, they quickly discover they are being hunted by a merciless alien race.
XYZ Films has acquired the sci-fi epic and will handle worldwide sales for the pic which was helmed by Kaufman. Paul Reichelt, who is also executive producer, co-wrote the script with Kaufman and this one wrapped production late last year and has virtually flew under the radar which is a feat in these days of social media. Jon Wroblewski and Christian Sosa via Roosevelt Film Lab, Andrew and Isaac Lewis per Denton Film, as well as Max Martini served as producers.
“XYZ Films is the perfect partner who shares our sentiment for iconic alien thrillers much like we all grew up with, standing in line at the theaters to watch with state-of-the-art creature designs and visual effects that thrill audiences everywhere. We didn’t hold back our nostalgia for the genre, and teaming up again with Max Martini alongside the legendary Linda Hamilton was a huge gift for this movie. We can’t wait to show the world and wrap post-production this spring.” said the producers per Deadline.
XYZ Films is jockeying up to present Osiris at next week’s EFM for potential buyers. Something tells me they won’t have an issue getting this one out.
This one is definitely out of the bag now so Lock N Load for future Intel on this one as we are your Action Fix!!!
