Cobra Kai, like all other TV series and movies, suffered massive production delays last year due to the writers and actors strike but now things are slowly getting back to normal. Netflix recently announced that the cast and crew of the hit series are back at it and production on the final season is well underway. To commemorate the occasion, a special teaser video was released which features stars Ralph Maachio, William Zabka, Marin Kove and the entire cast hinting at some major surprises that await fans when the episodes finally air. Take a look at the cast and what’s ahead below!
As we all know, Cobra Kai saw the return of Ralph Macchio’s Daniel, William Zabka’s Johnny and Martin Kove’s Kreese all returning to their respective roles that they made famous from the hit 80’s franchise with the first two entries being helmed by John G. Avildsen who also directed Rocky. Three sequels were made including a remake that starred Jackie Chan and there is even another movie set to be made which will bridge the gap between the series. Other stars of the original movies who made appearances on the show included Elisabeth Shue as Ali, Karate Kid 2’s Tamlyn Tomita as Kumiko, Yuji Okumoto as Chozen, Karate Kid 3 and 90’s action star Thomas Ian Griffith (Excessive Force) as Terry Silver, Sean Kanan as bad boy Mike Barnes, and Robyn Lively who reprised her role of Jessica Andrews.
The Cobra Kai series was a massive, nostalgic hit that immediately became a favorite amongst old and new fans when it first hit YouTube Red before coming over to Netflix. What surprises does the sixth and final season hold? Well, only time will tell as mums the word right now but expect more teasers and Intel to hit in the future.
