Well it didn’t take long for Netflix to unveil the first part of Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon saga titled A Child of Fire for audiences and critics alike to dump on it (in other words, with all the hate, I’ll officially love it), but Snyder and Netflix are still trudging ahead with the follow up affectionately called Rebel Moon Part 2: The Scargiver set for an April 19th launch.
A new trailer has hit online this past Christmas Day giving those that will want to watch, their first glimpse of footage from the second part. Snyder has teased that The Scargiver will be a full blown war movie with lead star Sofia Boutella who plays Kora unleashing her fury and the rebel army she created in the first chapter as they launch a do or die offensive against the Motherworld as she defends The Veldt. Take a look at the next stage and all the glorious signature Snyder SLO-MO below!
Official Synopsis: REBEL MOON – PART TWO: THE SCARGIVER continues the epic saga of Kora and the surviving warriors as they prepare to sacrifice everything, fighting alongside the brave people of Veldt to defend a once peaceful village, a newfound homeland for those who have lost their own in the fight against the Motherworld. On the eve of their battle, the warriors must face the truths of their pasts, each revealing why they fight. As the full force of the Realm bears down on the burgeoning rebellion, unbreakable bonds are forged, heroes emerge, and legends are made.

It’s important to note that these versions are the family friendly PG-13 versions with Snyder unleashing the much more violent director’s cuts in the future. Something tells me the R rated cuts will please viewers more than these and probably should have come out sooner. If you’re not a fan of Snyder, it probably won’t matter what version you watch.
Regardless of the reviews, Snyder and Netflix have big plans for the Rebel Moon franchise including spin offs and more so mark April 19th on your calendar if you are indeed interested in seeing how it ends.
