We are just a little over a month away from the release of the fourth Expendables film cleverly titled The Expend4bles and while we anxiously await the final product and hope that it’s a return to form for the action fanatic franchise, we have some tasty new key art for you to salivate over as it takes an 80’s retro theme which is where the movies are based. Feast your eyes on the new poster that you’ll want hanging on your wall tomorrow!

This week has officially been dubbed Expendables week by Lionsgate and with the new poster for the fourth film, they have also unleashed retro style posters for the first three movies as well. Those you can see in the talker below!

I think that when I set up my new Action-Flix office in my new home in Panama City, Florida, I’m going to have to add all these and designate one walk for Barney Ross and his crew of misfit mercs. They are all extremely awesome and any action fan would want them.
I’m hoping that we get one more trailer before release as the first one wasn’t received well from many. I personally loved it and thought it showed off just enough. Maybe Expendables week will end tomorrow with a new teaser to entertain us during this writer/actor strike. I for one think that this latest installment definitely brings the retro action vibes but that’s just me. Complain all you want but you’ll be watching cone release time.
The official synopsis of The Expend4bles reads: “Reuniting as the team of elite mercenaries,Armed with every weapon they can get their hands on and the skills to use them, The Expendables are the world’s last line of defense and the team that gets called when all other options are off the table. But new team members with new styles and tactics are going to give “new blood” a whole new meaning.”
It’s been well publicized that Sylvester Stallone will only appear in some of the movie as he passes the mantle off to Statham for future installments.
The Expend4bles stars returning franchise members Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, and Randy Couture. The new additions include Megan Fox, Jacob Scipio, Levy Tran, international martial arts icon Tony Jaa, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, and Andy Garcia. Iko Uwais who has excelled in adrenaline cinema over the last ten years is playing the nemesis this time around. Stunt pro turned director Scott Waugh helms from a screenplay by Spenser Cohen which was revised by Max Adams and John Joseph Connolly.
There will also be a live watch party tomorrow night of the first entry on Twitter…uhm…I mean X. This will be followed but watch parties for 2 and 3 leading up to the release of the fourth movie.

I’m a firm believer that this one will deliver as I’ve felt they all have in different capacities. September 22nd is the date so LOCK N LOAD right here for more Intel to follow! BTW, I just thought of something. Expend4bles will be officially the first movie I see when I move to Florida. Fitting isn’t it?
