THE WITCHER: Action Icon Dolph Lundgren Enlists for a Role in Mystery Spin-Off!

With Henry Cavill’s final turn coming up in the third season of Netflix’s hit fantasy series The Witcher, there’s some pretty rad news coming out in regards to another spin-off based on the property.

Action icon Dolph Lundgren has enlisted for a role in an unknown spin-off based off The Witcher and is currently filming said role as we speak. Michelle Yeoh led the only spin-off to come out as of yet titled The Witcher: Blood Origin, so it’s unclear what this limited series will focus on. Lundgren spilled the beans during an interview with Aftonbladet and he is currently stationed in South Africa at the time of this writing as it’s in production. We know nothing about the project so it’s intriguing to say the least.

Lundgren recently came out publicly to admit that he has been battling cancer for over eight years now but it looks as if the action icon is still full steam ahead as he’s been working pretty non-stop. He’ll next be seen in the long awaited Expendables 4 as well as Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.

The original Witcher series is a lavish and epic adaptation of the novels that tells the tale of legendary monster hunter Geralt of Rivia (Cavill) and a powerful sorceress named Yennefer, along with young Cintrian princess Ciri. The trio are swept up in an adventure that spans and is filled with peril, monsters and more at every turn. The fight choreography is tight, exhilarating and one of the best aspects of the series with Cavill demonstrating that he’ll do just fine in Chad Stahelski’s upcoming anc long delayed Highlander reboot.

It’s been well documented that Cavill is set to excite the original series after the third season with Liam Hemsworth taking over the role. It’ll be interesting to see how that transition goes but it looks like the spin-off potential is revving up.

Lock ‘N’ Load right here for future intel to hit on Lundgren’s involvement in the spin-off and more as we are your destination for everything action!!!
