New Key Art Wants to Welcome You Back to THE CONTINENTAL!

It’s been a long time in the making since it was first announced as a STARZ original but we now have official key art for the John Wick spin-off series event The Continental. It seems like it was a decade ago when this ambitious project was announced but it will finally drop later this year and will now be a Peacock exclusive. Check out the bloody buttons on the new poster below!

The teaser poster is perfect as it shows off one of the elevator panels for the infamous hotel which as we all know is a designated safe haven for assassins and no “work” may be conducted on the grounds of any of the hotels. The panel on the poster is perfectly shown with a C which stands for “Continental” and the catch phrase “Prepare for check-in.”

Plot synopsis is still vague but we do know that the series which will be a prequel to the blockbuster films will take place before The Continental was deemed a safe place for killers to hide out. The High Table has yet to make the hotels a non-combative zone so all bets will be off. “

What we’re exploring in ‘The Continental’ is the young Winston and how it came to be that he and his team of confederates found their way into this hotel which we have met for the first time in the movie franchise 40 years later,” Lionsgate Television chairman Kevin Beggs told Deadline.

The series has an impressive ensemble that includes Colin Woodell who will play a younger version of Ian McShane’s Winston. Peter Greene as Young Uncle Charlie, Nhung Kate as Yen, Jessica Allain as Lou, Jeremy Bobb as Mayhew, Adam Shapiro as Lemmy, Sally Garnett as The Concierge, and Katie McGrath as The Adjudicator round out the cast with Mel Gibson also involved.

Expect plenty of 87Eleven choreographed action sequences as the series will keep the hyper-kinetic feel of the movies. This show will serve as a worthy successor to Chapter 4 and as we wait for Ballerina which stars Ana de Armis with guest appearances by Keanu Reeves, Ian McShane and the late, great Lance Reddick.
