It goes without saying, but I’ll say it anyway, that the last Resident Evil movie left me wanting a lot more. Yes it came back to its horror roots and discarded the bombastic set pieces of its predecessor films but the shine movie was rather lackluster.
The Netflix series was even worse as I haven’t even watched more than two episodes to this day but the CGI flicks as a whole have faired better in terms of fan service, horrific atmosphere and kick ass violent action.
The latest film Resident Evil: Death Island looks to serve up another bloody good time and this one had me at…zombie sharks. Yep you heard me…zombie sharks. Take a look at new key art and teaser for the summer release below!
This newest tease gives us a great look at what to expect from this entry as well as iconic like Chris Redfield, Claire Redfield, Leon Kennedy, Jill Valentine, and Rebecca Chambers. Our fearless warriors bust into Alcatraz Island to battle a new threat that is set on consuming the world. All in a day’s work.
Death Island is said to be a sequel to 2017’s Resident Evil: Vendetta which was marred by its fan base. I don’t know about anyone else but I enjoyed it. It has zombies, elite agents, firepower and over the top violence so I don’t know what anyone was expecting. I never did play the games so maybe that was it but who cares.
Resident Evil: Death Island is set to hit Japan on July 7th and expect wider release info to hit soon!
