By: John M Jerva

Super Bowl 56 has given us another look at the anticipated MCU limited series Moon Knight. Even though the new promo was brief, fans got a good look at the action-horror vibe that is in store when the series hits next month. Oscar Isaac is a new kind of anti-hero and this one looks epic in its scope. Check out the newest footage below!

The series follows Steven Grant, a mild-mannered gift-shop employee, who becomes plagued with blackouts and memories of another life. Steven discovers he has dissociative identity disorder and shares a body with mercenary Marc Spector. As Steven/Marc’s enemies converge upon them, they must navigate their complex identities while thrust into a deadly mystery among the powerful gods of Egypt.

New Key Art for Moon Knight!

In a recent interview with Empire, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige talked about the new series and how the tone is going to be brutal and unsuspecting.

“He’s brutal,” Feige stated in a recent interview with Empire. “It’s been fun to work with Disney+ and see the boundaries shifting on what we’re able to do. There are moments [in the series] when Moon Knight is wailing on another character, and it is loud and brutal, and the knee-jerk reaction is, ‘We’re gonna pull back on this, right?’ No. We’re not pulling back. There’s a tonal shift. This is a different thing. This is Moon Knight.”

The series also stars Oscar nominee Ethan Hawke, Gaspard Ulliel, and May Calamawy.

The character of Moon Knight was created in 1975 by Doug Moench and Don Perlin. Isaacs will star as the titular character of former mercenary Mark Spector who is a superhero who uses multiple identities to fight crime.

The visuals and action we’ve seen so far are definitely intoxicating and as a fan of this lesser known comic book, I’m excited to see it come to life. Isaac looks phenomenal in the lead and Hawke is always worth the price of admission alone.

Moon Knight strikes on March 30th only on Disney+!
