The Super Bowl Teaser for THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE RINGS OF POWER Immerses Us in Epic Visuals & Adventure

This Super Bowl, in an era of COVID, has been pretty tame in regards to theatrical trailers. DC did strike hard with one hell of montage of what’s to come this year but besides a trailer for Doctor Strange, it’s been slim pickings.

One standout trailer hit a while ago but it’s not a movie but the highly anticipated Lord of the Rings prequel series titled The Rings of Power. The Big Game spot introduced fans thirsty for grand adventure a pretty solid first helping of what’s to come this September when the series hits Amazon Prime. Take a look at the ambitious visuals and action set pieces below!

This epic drama is set thousands of years before the events of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbitand The Lord of the Rings, and will take viewers back to an era in which great powers were forged, kingdoms rose to glory and fell to ruin, unlikely heroes were tested, hope hung by the finest of threads, and the greatest villain that ever flowed from Tolkien’s pen threatened to cover all the world in darkness.

The films were an achievement in cinematic splendor and while this series might not reach the same bar, it still looks lavish and emotional. Plus it has an archer catching an arrow and then using it himself which is pretty bad ass if you ask me.

The series which takes place over a thousand years before the events of the classic novels and films stars Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Robert Aramayo, Owain Arthur, Maxim Baldry, Nazanin Boniadi, Morfydd Clark, Ismael Cruz Córdova, Charles Edwards, Trystan Gravelle, Sir Lenny Henry, Ema Horvath, Markella Kavenagh, Joseph Mawle, Tyroe Muhafidin, Sophia Nomvete, Lloyd Owen, Megan Richards, Dylan Smith, Charlie Vickers, Leon Wadham, Benjamin Walker, Daniel Weyman, and Sara Zwangobani.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will officially begin its epic quest on Amazon Prime Video on September 2, 2022.
