I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again but foreign territories get all the cool shit when it comes to special edition Blu-Rays. What’s even cooler is that they give these treatments to films that you wouldn’t normally expect.

Case in point. Germany is about to unleash a loaded collector’s edition for Director Ringo Lam’s Maximum Risk which starred action icon Jean-Claude Van Damme. It even comes with a kick ass bust of JCVD from the film which you can see below!

The set comes complete with:

Maximum Risk on Blu-ray and DVD in a limited mediabook with a 24-page booklet

Uncut Version incl. Remastered picture and sound

Limited, hand-painted bust, height approx. 29 cm

Official Synopsis: Homicide Inspector Alain Moreau (Jean-Claude Van Damme) from the Nice Homicide Squad never knew he had a twin brother – until one day he was standing in front of a dead man named Mikhail, who looked like him. Moreau knows that the only way to discover Mikhail’s secret is to slip into his skin. The trail leads via Paris to New York, right into the middle of the highest circles of the Russian mafia. Moreau must now find out first hand that his brother had powerful enemies with whom he played a life-threatening game …

Ringo Lam, master director of the action film (Twin Dragons, Undeclared War), pushes the pace from the first minute on and fascinates with breathtaking stunt scenes. Van Damme’s partner is equally captivating: Natasha Henstridge (Species) – tingly erotic.

My only question is does the tingly erotic in the caption refer to Henstridge? I guess she should take it as a compliment. Anyway, the set is for pre-order now at Amazon.de and will hit on November 19th!
