By: John M Jerva

UPDATE: It looks like Black Widow will be seen on the big screen after all as The Wrap is reporting that the Scarlett Johansson led solo prequel will now hit cinemas on November 6th. This, of course, will shift the entire Marvel release schedule and we have all the changes below. We might not be getting a summer but the fall is looking good so far!

New Marvel Studios Release Schedule

Black Widow– November 6th, 2020

The Eternals– Feb. 12, 2021

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings– May 7th, 2021

Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness -November 5th, 2021

Thor: Love and Thunder– Feb 18, 2022

Black Panther 2– May 6th, 2022

Captain Marvel 2– July 8th, 2022

In addition to that, Disney announced that MULAN will now hit on July 24th while the Ryan Reynolds 20th Century Studios’ action comedy Free Guy will see light on December 11th. Hopefully you got all that because personally, I’m exhausted. At least I’ll save money for like the next six months as nothing is coming out.

(Original Post) Just like dominos, the latest film to fall prey to the Coronavirus outbreak is Marvel Studios Black Widow which stars Scarlett Johansson as the iconic assassin and member of the Avengers.

The film joins a laundry list of films and productions that have been delayed as the world faces an unprecedented scare forcing theater chains to close down for the time being.

Other films that have fallen prey are F9, MULAN, The New Mutants, and others as the virus is forcing people to stay indoors. The studio has not announced a new release date as of yet but we can hope for the best that it won’t be too long a wait.

Many studios are starting to release movies earlier on Digital and Universal is even releasing the new Trolls film on Digital and VOD the day it was supposed to hit theaters.

The film is set after the events of Captain America: Civil War and before Avengers: Infinity War. Black Widow will delve into more of the history of Johansson’ elite assassin who goes on to be a member of The Avengers.

Also starring are David Harbour (Stranger Things, Hellboy) as Alexei aka The Red Guardian, Florence Pugh (Fighting with My Family) as Yelena Belova, Academy Award-winning actress Rachel Weisz (The Favourite) as Melina and O-T Fagbenle (The Handmaid’s Tale) as Mason.

Check out the final trailer that hit when it was still coming out in May below.

Keep it locked and loaded right here for more on the developing situation as it changes daily and stay safe!
