(Update:) Netflix has officially released a new extended trailer and poster for the second season which sees the MCU’s Anthony Mackie take over. Take a look at both below!

(Original Post) Netflix has just released a new teaser for the second season of their Cyberpunk action series Altered Carbon which sees the MCU’s Anthony Mackie taking over for the role of Takeshi Kovacs who was first played by Joel Kinnaman on the freshman season.

Official Synopsis: In Altered Carbon Season 2, Anthony Mackie (The Falcon And The Winter Soldier) is taking over the role of Takeshi Kovacs from Joel Kinnaman. Kovacs is a former soldier who became a revolutionary, then a mercenary for hire. Aggressively independent, Kovacs swears allegiance to no man or woman except one: Quellcrist Falconer. His undying quest to reconnect with her spans multiple centuries, planets and sleeves.

The second season of the hit series based on the novel of the same name by Richard K. Morgan also stars returning cast members Renee Elise Goldsberry (One Life to Live) as Quellcrist Falconer, Chris Conner (American Crime Story) as Edgar Poe and Will Yun Lee (Rogue Warfare) who also played the role of Takeshi Kovacs who was actually the real version of the character who has transferred is soul through numerous bodies which are called “sleeves” which is a process made doable through an alien technology called a “cortical stack.”

The new season will hit Netflix on February 27th so check out the high-octane new footage below!
