As soon as I made it down to Florida for my vacation, the news broke that Sylvester Stallone’s third installment in his ESCAPE PLAN franchise now known as ESCAPE PLAN: THE EXTRACTORS is set to hit Blu-Ray, DVD and Digital this July. Stallone is back along with Dave Bautista who teamed up with Sly in the second film and this time Max Zhang (MASTER Z: IP MAN LEGACY, INVINCIBLE DRAGON) is along for the wild and action drenched ride. We all know the first film was a modest hit and it teamed Stallone up with Schwarzenegger and while the second film was much maligned by critics and fans alike with Stallone and Bautista serving mainly as supporting characters to Huang Xiaoming who was the real star of the film, it looks like this third movie will make up for all of that. I for one still enjoyed the second film for what it was and thought Stallone still did a lot in it although Bautista was criminally underused. Lets hope that he does a lot more damage in this one. The teaser sure does look kick ass enough plus it has Max Zhang and BLOODSPORT 2’s Daniel Bernhardt in it. Lets just pray that Zhang and Bernhardt are used to their fullest potential.
