With potential news and a new trailer hopefully coming soon for the highly anticipated sequel One More Shot with Scott Adkins, we have some current intel on another one of the action star’s upcoming films. The sniper thriller Take Cover sees Adkins playing an elite but fried sniper who must battle an unknown assailant in a penthouse that is made of all glass. With nowhere to hide, and absolutely no cover or safe have to speak of, he must play an elusive cat and mouse game with the killer before time and his life runs out. from stunt pro turned filmmaker Nick McKinless, this one looks to play it a little different with Adkins playing yet another breakaway role from what we are used to.
Adkins has just shared a new image from the movie via social media which showcases his character of Sam armed and ready for whatever comes his way in terms of nefarious threats. Check out Adkins in fine form below!
The official synopsis for Take Cover reads: A burned-out professional sniper finds himself trapped in an all-glass penthouse by a lethal competitor and must find a way to survive and escape with little to no cover between him and the killer.
From a script written by Joshua Todd James, Take Cover has a pretty impressive supporting cast that includes Alice Eve who is best known for movies like She’s Out of Your League, Star Trek Into Darkness and Men in Black 3. This is the directorial debut for McKinless who has served his stunt talents well on films and series like Fast X, Gangs of London and Kingsman: The Golden Circle.
In terms of action, this one looks to be more of a suspense thriller but fear not as Adkins is always known for putting in his signature action featuring his mad martial arts skills and more. McKinless is another one in the current trend of stunt pros turning to filmmaking like directing and writing. This does bode well for the action as he has been around for years and has a great eye for detail when it comes to onscreen mayhem.
