Excuse my tardiness as the second trailer for Sony and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day actually hit a few days ago, but I’ve been working twenty out of twenty days and dealing with my daughter’s surgery. That won’t sideline me though as I am here to give some Trailer Reaction to the new promo which only looks to build on the hype that has already reached a fever pitch for the latest adventure of Spidey. What more can I say as there is countless easter eggs to the comics, the return of Savage Hulk, the inclusion of the one and only Punisher and…oh yeah…freaking Ninjas! With all that, let’s take a look at the trailer below and then discuss why this is all kinds of awesome!
The world may have forgotten Peter Parker, but he hasn’t forgotten them.
It’s a BRAND NEW DAY for Peter Parker. Fighting crime full-time as Spider-Man in a world that doesn’t remember him—and the pressure of seeing his old friends move on without him—sparks a change in Peter he may not have the power to control. But that transformation might also be the only thing that can stop a shocking new threat to the city and those he loves – a powerful villain no one can even see.
The world may have forgotten Peter Parker, but he hasn’t forgotten them.

Shang-Chi helmer Destin Daniel Cretton directs from a script penned by Chris McKenna & Erik Sommers and Justin Kuritzkes which is, of course, based on the MARVEL Comic Book by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. Producers include Kevin Feige, Amy Pascal, Avi Arad and Rachel O’Connor. Louis D’Esposito
David Cain serves as executive producers.
The all-star cast includes Tom Holland, Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando and Mark Ruffalo.
TRAILER REACTION: Let me preface this by saying that I love all the Spider-Man films (yes even the infamous Spider-Man 3) but I believe I have enjoyed Tom Holland’s Spidey the most. The last film was a fanboy’s chef kiss and with that, this one looks to elevate the bar to insane new levels. Something is wrong with Peter, and I’m not talking about the fact that no one remembers him. There’s a new threat emerging and Jon Bernthal’s Punisher has finally made his big screen debut. BTW, if you told me that when Bernthal’s Netflix series was canned that not only would we get a one-shot epic, but we would also see him on the silver screen in a Spider-Man adventure, I would have said give me what you’re taking because it must be really good. Yes, we don’t see any of Frank running and gunning like we have in the official pic below, but we do get to see that he plays a vital and intricate part to the story. Bernthal and Holland are best buddies in real life, and their chemistry looks off the charts here so here’s hoping we get more of that in the future. Oh, and Savage Hulk has made his triumphant return so that’s worth the price of admission too. Throw in the fact that it looks like Peter has one epic battle with The Hand and this is shaping up to make my inner ten-year-old scram with delight when I sit down to watch this during Prime’s special early screening. LFG!!!!!
