Fans of Legendary’s Monsterverse won’t have to wait until March of next year when Godzilla x Kong: Supernova hits theaters as the two iconic titans are set to unite this month in season 2 of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters! The Apple TV+ series rolled out the new trailer for the sophomore season, and it looks to ramp up the slow burn first season with more monster action and the two legendary monsters laying a massive smackdown on a new threat. Scroll below and get ready for bonus King Kong and Godzilla baby!
Official Season 2 Synopsis: Season two will pick up with the fate of Monarch — and the world — hanging in the balance. The dramatic saga reveals buried secrets that reunite our heroes (and villains) on Kong’s Skull Island, and a new, mysterious village where a mythical Titan rises from the sea. The ripple effects of the past make waves in the present day, blurring the bonds between family, friend and foe — all with the threat of a titan event on the horizon. As previously announced, season two will feature Kong, Godzilla and introduce a new Titan: the enigmatic Titan X that is now officially on the loose. Titan X isn’t just another monster; it’s a living cataclysm. When its massive bioluminescent form breaks the surface of the ocean, the world seems to hold its breath. In Monarch: Legacy of Monsters season two, Titan X stands at the center of the mystery – an ancient force emerging from the deep, its purpose uncertain, its power unmatched, its awe and terror in equal measure.

First season stars Kurt Russel and his son Wyatt Russell return along with Anna Sawai, Kiersey Clemons, Ren Watabe, Mari Yamamoto, Joe Tippett, and Anders Holm. New additions this year include Takehiro Hira, Prey’s Amber Midthunder, Curtiss Cook, Cliff Curtis, Dominique Tipper, and Camilo Jiménez Varón. Chris Black serves as the series showrunner.
The extended trailer builds on the initial teaser that was launched a few eeks back and this season looks to definitely increase the Titan carnage as Kong and Godzilla battle a new monster simply known as Titan X. It lives in the sea, is massive and is downright bad ass but our heroes will have their work cut out for them as humanity once again hangs in the balance. While the sophomore effort of this cinematic style series was a slow burn leading up to the action and the emergence of Godzilla, the junior season of episodes will certainly increase what fans always come for.
