Dave Bautista and Jason Momoa walk into a bar…stop me if you heard this one. Better yet, don’t because this looks like a heaping helping of mayhem fused, chaotic retro buddy action vibes as two of Hollywood’s hardest hitters (both figuratively and literally) are teaming up for what looks like a hell of a lotta fun. The movie is called The Wrecking Crew and Bautista and Momoa look in prime shape (pun intended) for Prime Video’s new action-thriller premiering this month. One’s a hothead and one’s straight by the book but there’s no denying that they are bad ass and lethal.
Scroll below for the footage and get ready to duck as the bullets, explosions and buckets of bravado and one liners are about to fly!!!
In THE WRECKING CREW, estranged half-brothers Jonny (Jason Momoa) and James (Dave Bautista) reunite after their father’s mysterious death. As they search for the truth, buried secrets reveal a conspiracy threatening to tear their family apart. Set in Hawaii, the film is directed by Ángel Manuel Soto and stars Claes Bang, Jacob Batalon, Stephen Root, and Morena Baccarin.

Aside from the heavy use of CGI, which sadly is the case in these times, I cannot find anything I do not like about this trailer, and this film has must see oozing all over it and there and with these two headlining, you know you’re going to get plenty of practically filmed chaos. Bautista and Momoa look sensational together and the action looks off the cuff and ridiculous in the best way possible. Ninjas on bikes, unforgiving one liners and sword fight galore beckon this one as it looks to channel the 80’s in the best way possible. Our two anti-heroes are even getting chewed out by a police lieutenant. Oh, how I miss those days. It’s also rated r to boot so there is no compromise here with the violence, adult humor and two of the biggest stars in action doing simply what they do best. The only question I have is why didn’t somebody put these two into a movie like this sooner? Well, better late than never I always say. Sign. me. Up!
