Ladies and gentlemen, the Man is back! With filming wrapped on One Last Shot this past week, more intel has been coming in, and we now can confirm that veteran action/martial arts star Tim Man has indeed returned to serve as action director on the third installment. Adkins served up the news on social media along with a picture of himself, director James Gunn and fellow co-star Kane Kosugi. Scroll below and check out the league of champions below!
The photo was taken on the set of the third film which will once again showcase all the action as if it is one continuous take. Adkins stated, “Big thank you to Tim Man – my go to choreographer and action designer extraordinaire!! We first worked together on Ninja 2 and many projects since. He’s not just a fight choreographer, he has a complete understanding of the camera and editing. He also just happens to be one of the best kickers I’ve ever seen. Tim has excelled on the One Shot movies and the action scene with Kane Kosugi may well be the best of the franchise. Thanks Tim!!”
Man is one of the elite action directors and choreographers working today and anytime he hooks up with Adkins; fans know that they are in for a full-throttle good time. Ever since first collaborating on Ninja 2, Adkins and Man have been side by side for several more action epics including Boyka: Undisputed 4, Eliminators, Accident Man 1&2, Abduction, Triple Threat, Legacy of Lies, One Shot, One More Shot, and Castle Falls. It’s safe to say that if Adkins is starring in an action movie, Man will be right there to choreograph all the chaos. Man is a true talent who knows how to craft brutal ballet onscreen in such a way that it’s violent poetry in motion.
The news of the addition of Man comes off the heels of the official announcement from Screen Daily that fellow action icon and living legend Dolph Lundgren has also joined the cast in an undisclosed role. Kane Kosugi, who took on Adkins in Ninja 2 and is pictured above, was also a part of the action and the two wage war once again in the upcoming third installment.

Joining Adkins, Kosugi and Lundgren in the cast are Steven Cree and Hannah Ware. Sky will release One Last Shot in the UK and Ireland. Sony Pictures Entertainment will release the film in the U.S. and everywhere else. Ben Jacques is producing One Last Shot for Signature Films Marc Goldberg; Sarah Gabriel and Gareth Williams are executive producers.
UK indie action filmmaker James Nunn, who helmed the last two, returns to direct one again from a script penned by Jamie Russell, and this movie takes place right after the events of 2024’s One More Shot left off, and the movie will look to be shot as if it is one single, continuous shot.
The One Shot franchise began in 2021 with Ryan Phillippe (Shooter) and Ashley Greene (the Twilight franchise) and the sequel One More Shot which took place right after the events of the first film hit in 2023. The movies, all directed by James Nunn are shot in a way that makes it look like the action is all one continuous shot with Adkins deploying his elite signature skills for the breakneck action sequences that he is known for.
