August is ready to deliver a double blast of Michael Jai White signature action as the prolific action star, martial artist and filmmaker is headlining not one, but two fisticuffs and firepower fueled thrillers. First up on August 1st, White is bringing his ultra-cool and ferocious swagger to the film Trouble Man which you can check out here and then one week later, he’s dishing out more punishment and one liners in Hostile takeover. The latter is being released through Quiver Distribution and we have the new poster and adrenaline laced trailer for you as White is looking to work out his issues while taking on the best in the business!
Pete Strykyr is a top-tier hitman with a knack for talking his way out of trouble—until a deadly mix-up puts a target on his back. Hunted by the city’s deadliest killers, Pete’s forced into a wild, brutal night of improvised combat, dark humor, and survival. With fists flying and bullets blazing, he battles through the chaos to clear his name—only to face one last twist.

Hostile Takeover hails from director Michael Hamilton-Wright from a script he co-wrote with Buron L. Warner. White stars along with Dawn Olivieri, Aimee Stolte, and Aleks Paunovic.

Initial reactions for the trailer reveal a film that looks to seamlessly blend White’s bravado, coolness and funny bone along with his lethal armed and unarmed combat skills for a hitman film that looks to do something a little different. It looks funny and ferocious at the same time with White taking charge and doing what he does best. Come August 8th when this one hits, action cinephiles have a massive one-two punch of Michel Jai White to watch in a bullet and beatdown double feature with ample bodies hitting the floor in both.
