The Axis powers that be during WWII are about to get a proper ass whipping from the best there is as action icon Scott Adkins is ready to showcase why he’s the best of the best with his upcoming WWII martial arts epic Prisoner of War. Well Go USA is set to unleash the film this September and Adkins is in San Diego at the 2025 SDCC to debut the brand-new trailer this Thursday during day one of the annual star-studded event.

The official poster has dropped for Prisoner of War as well with Adkins front and center ready to lay the smackdown on a horde of enemy soldiers for his legion of fans. Check out the kick ass one sheet below!
“UK poster for Prisoner of War out September. Can’t wait for you all to see this one,” Adkins simply stated on his official post on Facebook. The action star also said the same thing about Diablo which hit last month so if Prisoner of War is half as good as that one, then hardcore Adkins fanatics are in for a real blood dripping treat.
Louis Mandylor, an action star in his own right and Adkins’ co-star in The Debt Collector films directed Prisoner of War. Mandylor has been crushing it as of late behind the camera with other directorial efforts including the werewolf combat film Operation Blood Hunt and 3 Days in Malay. Both of those films are also set during WWII. Mandylor has taken his legit credentials as one of the most prominent stars in indie action and has parlayed that into a blossoming career as a filmmaker directing action movies with brutal and gritty adrenaline laced sequences mixed with emotional human drama.
The official plot for Prisoner of War, formally known as Death March, reads: A British airman washes ashore after being ejected from his plane and becomes a prisoner in a Japanese-run POW camp. While waiting to join the infamous Bataan death march, the airman is tortured by the camp commander and is forced to fight for his life against an array of skilled Japanese warriors. Adkins portrays the airman. Veteran actor Peter Shinkoda (I, Robot, Daredevil) plays the camp commander. (Per Deadline)
The film contains a sensational international ensemble cast including Michael Copon (As Good as Dead, Power Rangers: Time Force), Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone (3 Days in Malay, The Equalizer 2), Michael Rene Walton (Reptile), Gary Cairns (The Channel, Justified), Action icon Sho Kosugi’s son Shane Kosugi (Nine Deaths of the Ninja), Masanori Mimoto (Baby Assassins, Hydra) and Gabbi Garcia (Unbreak My Heart).
