It’s almost here! We are two weeks away from finally finding out what the Asterix means in the Thunderbolts* which is Marvel Studios’ latest attempt to hype fans into theater seats. I’m not gonna lie as I am really excited for this one and have been loving the trailers and key art that has been unleashed leading up till now. Along with the usual fan service, bombastic and epic set pieces and comic book fandom, this one looks to also rely heavily on the great chemistry of the stars as well as a lot of levity to quell the dramatic aspects of the film.
A final trailer has been released about a half hour ago and you can check out then more solemn approach to the advertising with this final peek below!
A host of key art has been unveiled over the past weeks as well and I think this film has broken some sort of record for the most posters released for a comic book flick. Check them out in the gallery below! I mean seriously, that’s a lot of one sheets but then again, a lot of cinema chains have their own viewing platforms for films these days like IMAX, 4DX, SCREENX and more so whoever said cinema was dead hasn’t seen all of this.

The Thunderbolts* team consists of Julia Louis-Dreyfuss as Valentina, David Harbour as Red Guardian, Wyatt Russell as John Walker aka U.S. Agent, Hannah John-Kamen as the Ghost, Florence Pugh as Yelena, Olga Kurylenko as Taskmaster and Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes aka The Winter Soldier. Jake Schreier (Paper Towns) helms with Eric Pearson (Black Widow) penning the script.
I dig this final trailer as it references Natasha Romanoff’s (Scarlett Johansson) sacrifice in Avengers: Endgame and how it has affected Pugh’s Yelena. Most of the trailers leading up to this one have relied heavily on the action, bombastic set pieces and humor so going the dramatic route with heart was a great idea. We also get a more extensive look at The Void which is utterly menacing as he turns hapless victims into black stains on the concrete. Shivers down the spine if I don’t mind saying so.
