(UPDATE) Sky Cinema has unleashed a brand-new trailer for the upcoming ballistic thriller Fight or Flight which may hopefully brandish star Josh Hartnett the status of action star after teasing it throughout the years. Hartnett has dabbled in the action realm in films like Blackhawk Down and Bunraku along with roles in the Statham vehicles Wrath of Man and Operation Fortune but here he is front and center and doing some next level action design.
This film has definitely climbed the levels of my must-see flicks for 2025. Hot of his starring role in M. Night Shyamalan’s Trap, Josh Hartnett is ready to channel a little John Wick and The Raid while in a Die Hard scenario on a crowded plane loaded with fierce and lethal killers. Hartnett stars as a mercenary who gets in over his head when he takes a job to take down a target only to switch it up and protect his mark when he is surrounded by lethal assassins everywhere. Cue the ballistic, hyper-kinetic action design!
A mercenary takes on the job of tracking down a target on a plane but must protect her when they’re surrounded by people trying to kill both of them.

Hartnett stars alongside an outstanding cast that includes The Mandalorian’s Katee Sackhoff as well as action star and martial arts phenom Marko Zaror (John Wick Chapter 4, The Killer’s Game, Diablo). Other noteworthy casting additions include Charithra Chandran (Bridgerton), Julian Kostov (Shadow and Bone), and Juju Chan (Lights Out). Monkey Man’s top tier fight performer and choreographer Brahim Chad handles the blistering and eclectic bloody violent action design. Judging from the above teaser, he has definitely put his stamp of creative action chaos on this one. I’m really curious to see how the chainsaw sequence plays out. All in all, this one look to have the vibe and dark humor tone of David Leitch’s Bullet Train which starred Brad Pitt and a host of well knowns including Andrew Koji and Aaron Taylor-Johnson.

Coincidentally, there is another action pic titled Fight or Flight which was announced last year which was to star Dolph Lundgren and Michael Jai White. The Best Man’s Shane Dax Taylor is supposed to be directing that one, so jury is still out on that one. The synopsis is different, so I believe it’s a completely different movie. You can read my article about that one below.
Thunder Roads, who just happens to be responsible for the John Wick franchise is behind this one with James Madigan (Runaways) helming. Like I said, this one is definitely creeping up high on my Action-Flix must see 2025 list so lock n load and lookout for more!
