It’s going to be a very hectic few weeks here as I am going to be moving to a new locale but I’m doing my best to keep up with the freshest Intel in action cinema. We have some Karate Kid news for you as a new poster foe Karate Kid: Legends has debuted today at the NYCC that is currently going on this weakened. The new key art showcases franchise icons Jackie Chan and OG Karate Kid Ralph Maachio as well as newcomer Ben Wang. Scroll below for the unveiling courtesy of Sony!

Word has come down that fans in attendance earlier tonight at the Karate Kid: Legends panel at NYCC were treated with a first look at the trailer for the anticipated film that bridges the gap between the films and the series Cobra Kai. The new movie will hit theaters next year on May 30th.
The sixth film in the blockbuster franchise was written by Rob Lieber and directed by Jonathan Entwistle with additional cast members including Joshua Jackson, Shaunette Renée Wilson, Sadie Stanley, Ming-Na Wen, Aramis Knight, Wyatt Oleff, and Jennifer-Lyn Christie.
Concrete plot details are still top secret, but we do know that the next film will center on a teenager from China, Li Fong (Wang), who makes the long move to the East Coast and thus begins his martial arts journey under the watchful tutelage of a strict but caring mentor which is most likely Mr. Han. The new film will also combine the original films, reboot and series in a shared Miyagi-verse so fans are excited to see what comes next.
In other related Karate Kid news, it has been confirmed that Mortal Kombat star Lewis Tan has also joined the last season of Cobra Kai. The first set of episodes have premiered with part 2 set to debut on November 15th and part 3 set to debut next year. The news came with a fresh batch of images featuring the cast and Tan, who also appeared in Deadpool & Wolverine, will play Sensei Wolf. Other new additions for the last remaining episodes include Patrick Luwis as Awel Kovacevic and Rayna Vallandingham as Zara Malik. This is Vallandingham’s acting debut. Tie on those bandanas, prune those bonsais trees and center the ring because even though Cobra Kai is ending with this final season, the franchise is alive and well. Stay tuned!
