This is going to be a busy weekend. Thankfully, I’m on my own so with Deadpool & Wolverine unloading starting today and the 2024 San Diego Comic Con returning to form this weekend, there will be much to discuss and show over the long weekend. I will do my best to stay on top of all the good stuff aside from working all weekend so away we go!
First up, Paramount Pictures rolled out on day 1 of SDCC with their Transformers One panel featuring stars Chris Hemsworth, Brian Tyree Henry, Keegan-Michael Key and director Josh Cooley along with producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura. During the panel, the stars chatted up the film, new footage was shown and a second trailer dropped for all to see. Scroll below to view!
Official Synopsis: Transformers One tells the long-awaited origin story of how the most iconic characters in the Transformers universe, Orion Pax and D-16, went from brothers-in-arms to become sworn enemies, Optimus Prime and Megatron.
Scarlett Johansson, Steve Buscemi, Laurence Fishburne, and Jon Hamm round out the rest of the voice cast and good buzz is coming with this one as some are saying that it’s the best Transformers film yet animated or live action. The trailers certainly do bring a fun vibe with a plethora of humor, origin stories and above all, action.
This film will definitely bring the heat and interest for the upcoming live action G.I. Joe/Transformers crossover that also star Hemsworth. Both IP’s are crushing it in the comic bookstores with new stories and a shared Energon Universe. It’s a great time to be a fan of both!
