Really, is this news anymore and this clearly personifies the point that this MCU movie will probably never see the light of day. Yes, I’m talking about the Blade reboot which stars Mahershala Ali taking up the mantle from Wesley Snipes.
Yann Demange is no longer attached to the project which has seen a turnstile of directors come and go. Actually, they’re saying that he left sometime ago and the that it was totally amicable. Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige was probably like yeah I get it, you can go do a movie that’ll actually get made.

Demange replaced Bassam Tariq who departed the film two years ago and it’s been a whopping five years since Ali made his entrance at SDCC when it was announced. I think the forces that be are saying something here.
There have been two directors but a lot more writers as Blade first saw Watchmen‘s Stacy Osei-Kuffour penn the original script. That version was retooled by Michael Starrbury (When They See Us) along with Nic Pizzolatto (True Detective), and Michael Green (Logan). They have been replaced with Eric Pearson (Fantastic Four) who is the winner, winner, chicken dinner that is as of now working on the new script. Are you keeping up?
Ali is still attached to the movie but you’d have to think that at some point he will say enough is enough and eject as well. They were saying that this Blade would be a period piece and focus on the Daywalker’s origins but at this point who the hell knows.
Stay tuned for more ever changing Intel on the MCU’s Blade.
