Get ready world because the Marvel Jesus is coming! After months of speculation, filming delays, rumors, blockbuster casting announcements and, above all, Hugh Jackman pulling a Brett Favre and returning as Wolverine, the first trailer for one of the most anticipated MCU flicks ever Deadpool 3, or as it is now officially called Deadpool and Wolverine, has finally graced our television screens. With the debut that did not disappoint at any level, the Merc with a Mouth was on fire as he poured on the 4th wall breaking hijinks along with Logan himself who is all business for this one in what is sure to be the craziest MCU installment ever. It’s no secret that the MCU has suffered from a cataclysmic size failure of movies ever since Endgame but I think Reynolds, Jackman and this shot of adrenaline is exactly what the doctor and fans ordered. Describing it will not do it justice so simply scroll down and partake in all the violence, adult humor and chaos that is the official trailer for Deadpool and Wolverine!

Before the official trailer release hit online for Deadpool 3, or what is now called Deadpool and Wolverine, the iconic bad boy and Merc with a Mouth introduced all of us to a brief TV teaser that told us, “Your little cinema universe is about to change forever.” He then added that Deadpool and Wolverine “just feels right!” Of course, we then had to rush and go online to see the whole damn thing. It all starts out with Wade Wilson celebrating his birthday and blowing out one, single candle before unleashing a 4th wall break down of Disney’s historic acquisition of Marvel and also dubs himself “Marvel Jesus”. Priceless to say the least. The trailer then explodes into a fanboy assault on the senses with all the humor and action we were expecting with Wilson the main star of the trailer. Yes, we didn’t see any cameos and yes, we didn’t even really see Jackman, but it was just enough to make us want to see more without spoiling anything. I beg Disney and Marvel Studios not to blow in the future with any additional trailers because you know we are going to get more before it hits in July.
OK, so it is essentially a 2 minute and 45 second teaser and the only glimpse we get of Jackman is his shadow at the end but when his adamantium claws extend, I think I let out a yelp. Wilson is officially entering the world of the Marvel cinematic Universe and he is letting everyone know that he’s the savior. As well he should be. Thank you, Disney, for actually doing something right in the last few years.
Directed by Shawn Levy who is no stranger to Reynolds’ humor after working with him on Free Guy and The Adam Project, fanboys everywhere are now watching this trailer over and over again to pick up every single detail they can from it. There’s action, there’s intrigue, there’s Reynolds and Jackman taking every opportunity to take low brow shots at each other, and we are all the winners for it.
Deadpool and Wolverine is the only MCU entry this year and that couldn’t be any more of a good thing and in the hands of Wade Wilson and Logan, this one will definitely lift the floundering Cinematic Universe out of its collective funk.
