Amazon Video has officially given a full series order to the prequel series The Terminal List: Dark Wolf. Set to take place before the events of season of the show, stars Chris Pratt and Taylor Kitsch are set to return and reprise their characters from the original.
Filming is set to commence sometime this year although an exact date has not been released. A season 2 order had already been announced for The Terminal List but that came over a year ago and there is still no date for production on that one. It’s most likely that the strike delayed it and now Amazon is going through with the prequel before season 2.
The prequel Dark Wolf is said to have Taylor Kitsch’s character of Ben Edwards front and center this time and is being described as an “elevated espionage thriller that would explore the true darker side of warfare and the human cost that comes with it.”

The first season of The Terminal List was based on Jack Carr’s hit novel and starred Pratt, Kitsch, Constance Wu, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Riley Keough, Arlo Mertz, Jai Courtney, J.D. Pardo, Patrick Schwarzenegger, LaMonica Garrett, Stephen Bishop, Sean Gunn, Tyner Rushing, Jared Shaw, Christina Vidal, Nick Chinlund, Matthew Rauch, Warren Kole, and Alexis Louder.
The first season saw Pratt starring as a “Navy SEAL who seeks to avenge the murder of his family.” After returning from a mission that went awry and cost the lives of his entire unit, James Reece returns with limited memories of what happened and discovers a vast conspiracy that goes all the way to the top of government power.
