This is some news that will definitely piss a lot of fans off and it’s actually kind of weird seeing that the series was saved for a third season after being canceled before. MAX has announced via Deadline that the Andrew Koji led martial arts thriller Warrior has once again been given the axe after streaming the third season. The latest season wrapped up it’s 10 episode run roughly 4 months ago and now, once again, it’s been given it’s walking papers.
This announcement again comes with a slim, and I do mean slim, silver lining as Netflix has swooped in and picked up the non-exclusive rights to all three seasons. Why is this good? Well, it’s been reported that if the show performs well on the blockbuster platform, Netflix may greenlight a fourth season. I wouldn’t hold your breath but it is something to hope for.

Warrior, which was inspired by the teachings of Bruce Lee, told the story of the the brutal Tong Wars of San Francisco’s Chinatown in the late 19th century. It follows Ah Sahm, played by Koji, a martial arts prodigy who emigrates from China to San Francisco under mysterious circumstances. The series featured heavy handed drama immersed with blistering and volatile martial arts set pieces with Koji front and center displaying his intense prowess.
Along with Koji, Warrior starred Kieran Bew, Celine Buckens, Olivia Cheng, Dianne Doan, Dean Jagger, Langley Kirkwood, Maria-Elena Laas, Hoon Lee, Christian McKay, Dustin Nguyen, Miranda Raison, Chen Tang, Joe Taslim, Jason Tobin, Joanna Vanderham, Tom Weston-Jones, and Perry Yung. The series was executive produced by Justin Lin, Danielle Woodrow, Andre Schneider, Shannon Lee, Brad Kane, Richard Sharkey, Kenneth Lin, Evan Endicott, and Josh Stoddard. The brutal and gritty martial arts series was was created and executive produced by Jonathan Tropper.
So what now? Well, it’s pretty obvious as fans should stream the series in droves so Netflix will in fact make a fourth and final season. Hell, fans would take a movie to wrap everything up like Netflix did with Wu Warriors. Lock N Load right here and stay tuned!!!
