Production has officially commenced on a thematic sequel to the high caliber action pic Raging Fire which starred Donnie Yen and Nicholas Tse. Hailed as one of the best action films of 2021, I though so as well, Nicholas Tse returns to headline the follow up although Yen will not be participating this time around.
Titled The Unleashed Blaze, Hong Kong megastar Andy Lau will also star in the film which is being helmed by Derek Kwok. The late, great Benny Chan directed the first film which was pretty much an action master class so this one will have quite the shows to fill.
The production celebrated the commencement of cameras rolling by sharing some behind the scenes pics of Tse, Laue, Kwok and the cast and crew on social media. Peek at the pics below!
Plot details are being kept secret as of now but it would assume that Tse is playing a new character seeing that his other character of Yau Kong-Ngo perished at the hands of Donnie Yen’s Cheung Sung-Bong in the blistering finale of the first film. It will be interesting to see how this one shapes up character wise and hopefully the action set pieces will be off the chain in terms of armed and unarmed combat like the previous film.
