We finally have our first look footage of the highly anticipated graphic novel adaptation King of Killers which stars Kickboxer franchise hero Alain Moussi and genre favorite Frank Grillo. Moussi stars as a former assassin who must take on the best of the best to unravel a deadly conspiracy and bullets and extreme martial arts will ensue. Check it out below!
Official Synopsis: Based on a graphic novel by writer-director Kevin Grevioux, King of Killers follows former Agency hitman Marcus Garan (Alain Moussi) as he attempts to unravel the mystery behind a tragic incident. When offered a $10 million contract to eliminate the world’s greatest assassin, Marcus travels to Tokyo to meet the client (Frank Grillo), but discovers other professional killers have been invited as well. Now Marcus and the others must confront this deadly, mythical assassin…or die trying. The cast also includes Stephen Dorff and Marie Avgeropoulos. King of Killers is available in theaters, digital, and On Demand on September 1, 2023.
This one is on my most anticipated watch list for 2023 and the trailer is an action lover’s dream as it’s filled with enough carnage and mayhem depicting the insane set pieces in store for us. Plus I’m digging Grillo’s mask as it showcases an ominous look which is in line for the tone of the movie and the Katana is a nice touch too. Assassin films are a done a lot but this one looks like it’ll rise to the top. Fingers crossed.
The movie hasn’t even been released yet but that’s not stopping the fact that a prequel series to the upcoming actioner King of Killers has already been greenlit. The film which hails from Underworld co-creator Kevin Grevioux is set for a September launch on the 1st so we won’t have long to wait.
In a past article for Screen Daily, Moussi described the new project as “fresh and fun” and also stated that “Kevin has a brilliant vision for the action and visual style of King Of Killers and the first-class KOK team is passionate about bringing that vision to life.”
The film and show will definitely give fans a definite adrenaline shot of fisticuffs and firepower and will surely contain ofc the charts fight sequences rivaling Hong Kong style action.
King of Killers is available in theaters, digital, and On Demand on September 1, 2023.
