Ok, some of you can relax now as it’s been confirmed that the newest entry in the Expendables franchise, cleverly named Expend4bles, is rated R for “for strong/bloody violence throughout, language and sexual material.”
There you go. Rejoice as there will be strong bloody violence and F bombs to go along with the sexual material. Good times. Normally this wouldn’t be big new but ever since the fiasco of Expendables 3 nabbing a PG-13 rating upon release, action fans should take some comfort in that there will plenty of bloodshed.

The official synopsis of The Expend4bles reads: “Reuniting as the team of elite mercenaries,Armed with every weapon they can get their hands on and the skills to use them, The Expendables are the world’s last line of defense and the team that gets called when all other options are off the table. But new team members with new styles and tactics are going to give “new blood” a whole new meaning.”
Arnold sadly confirmed that he wasn’t involved with the fourth film but we still have Statham, Lundgren, and Couture along with action heavyweights Tony Jaa and Iko Uwais joining the cast. Curtis “50 Cent”, Megan Fox, and Andy Garcia round out the new additions.
It’s been well publicized that Sylvester Stallone will only appear in some of the movie as he passes the mantle off to Statham for future installments. The trailer was met with luke warm reception when it hit but I thought it looked good and showed off just enough. I don’t mind the humor and tone as long as the set pieces deliver.
Expend4bles hits next month on September 22nd!!!
