Netflix is pulling out all the stops for its upcoming action-thriller The Gray Man. Starring Ryan Gosling and the MCU’s Chris Evans, The Russo Brothers (The MCU’s Avengers films) helm this one and it looks high-octane and sweat inducing with some incredible action set pieces and two leads that are vying for action star of the year. Check out the first look footage along with new key art and character posters in the slide show below because it’s time to go tactical!

“The Gray Man is CIA operative Court Gentry (Ryan Gosling), aka, Sierra Six. Plucked from a federal penitentiary and recruited by his handler, Donald Fitzroy (Billy Bob Thornton), Gentry was once a highly-skilled, Agency-sanctioned merchant of death. But now the tables have turned and Six is the target, hunted across the globe by Lloyd Hansen (Chris Evans), a former cohort at the CIA, who will stop at nothing to take him out. Agent Dani Miranda (Ana de Armas) has his back. He’ll need it.”

The Gray Man boasts a sensational supporting cast including Jessica Henwick, Wagner Moura, Dhanush, Alfre Woodard, Regé-Jean Page, Scott Haze, Julia Butters, and Eme Ikwuakor.

Word has it that Netflix is looking to set up prequel movies that will focus on Evans’ character of Lloyd Hansen who actually plays the villain role here. Netflix is also looking to tap Deadpool screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick to write the film. if all goes according to plan, these prequel movies can very well launch a new franchise for Evans.

The Gray Man jocks up and goes tactical when it hits Netflix on July 22, 2022
