It certainly has been a busy Wednesday for action news as I have posted no less than four trailers today and one outstanding interview with Michael jai White. As I close up shop for the day, I just had to share one more article which involves action stars Scott Adkins and Dolph Lundgren who are teaming up for the fifth time in their careers for the upcoming high-octane, crowd-pleasing action-thriller Section Eight which hails from director Christian Sesma (Every Last One of Them, Vigilante Diaries). This film is, of course, on my Must See Action Flix for 2022 and we now have some rather rad new key art to dazzle you with which showcases the two action stars along with co-stars Ryan Kwanten (True Blood), Dermot Mulroney and the ever-engaging Mickey Rourke (The Commando). Killers have officially assembled on the new one sheet which you can now view at your leisure below!

The film was co-penned by producer/writer Chad Law (Daylight’s End) and filmmaker Josh Ridgway (Howlers) who both have a proven track record in indie action cinema. The rest of the cast is pretty impressive as well which includes Robert LaSardo (Hard to Kill, Death Race), Maurice Compte (Narcos), Geoffrey Blake (Midway), Paul Sloan (Every Last One Of Them), and Mary Christina Brown (Vigilante Diaries). Blue October singer Justin Furstenfeld also has a role in the film, and this will be his acting debut.

Section Eight tells the story “of a former soldier who, after avenging the murder of his family, is sprung from prison and recruited by a shadowy government agency.”

It looks like Kwanten who will play the role of Jake Atherton will be the lead protagonist and the man who is recruited into said shadowy government agency so only time will tell on how much action Adkins and Lundgren will see in the film. I am always an eternal optimist so I’m betting that each star will be utilized in the film. Adkins’ character is known as Leonard Locke while Lundgren is playing the role of Tom Mason. Mickey Rourke is Earl Atherton which leads one to believe that his character is related to Kwanten’s while Dermot Mulroney is playing Sam Ramsey.

The tagline for the film is “They Make A Killer Team” so expect maximum damage on this one with the level of action talent involved.
