It’s been a whirlwind day for action news and we aren’t quite done yet as Lionsgate has officially unveiled new key art and footage for their upcoming action-thriller Pursuit which stars John Cusack and Emile Hirsch. High-Octane is the name of the game when a tough as nails cop goes after an even tougher opponent in the bullet riddled new pic. Check out the explosive goods below!

Synopsis: John Cusack (Grosse Pointe Blank) and Emile Hirsch (Into the Wild) star in this action thriller about a tough cop’s hunt for an even tougher criminal. Detective Breslin crosses paths with Calloway (Hirsch), a ruthless hacker desperate to find his wife, who has been kidnapped by a drug cartel. When Calloway escapes police custody, Breslin joins forces with a no-nonsense female cop to reclaim his prisoner. But is Calloway’s crime-boss father (Cusack) somehow involved in this explosive situation?

Pursuit is helmed by Brian Skiba, who gave us the adrenaline pumping throwback action film The 2nd last year which starred Ryan Phillippe. I thoroughly enjoyed that one so I’m intrigued to see what he delivers next.

The film also stars Jake Manley, Elizabeth Ludlow and was written by Skiba along with Andrew Stevens Dawn Bursteen and Ben Fiore.

Pursuit will hit Select Theaters and On Demand on February 18th!
