HBOMAX has officially dropped a new poster and official trailer for their Suicide Squad spin-off series Peacemaker. The show sees John Cena returning to his role of the anti-hero style super hero who’ll do anything in the name of peace. Check out the new advertising below!

According to director James Gunn who returns to helm some of the episodes, the series will highlight “black ops combating something catastrophic that’s facing the planet.” Gunn wrote all eight episodes of the series as well.

Peacemaker also stars Steve Agee, Danielle Brooks, Robert Patrick, Jennifer Holland, Freddie Stroma, and Chukwudi Iwuji. It’s the first limited series to be featured from the DCEU and there looks to be no shortage of over the top mayhem combined with dark humor to satisfy fanboys.

Peacemaker hits HBO Max on January 13 for a three episode debut, and will release weekly episodes from then on through February 17, 2022.
