UPDATE: Things got a little interesting yesterday as fellow Expendable Dolph Lundgren weighed in on a possible 4th film after Stallone’s post. Of course, Lundgren was even more cryptic stating that it’s been 10 years since filming number 2 and asked what Gunnar was up to lately. Hmmmmm.. ok now I’m definitely intrigued. (Original Post) I think this qualifies as a broken record but Sly Stallone has given another tease on Instagram that another Expendables movie is happening. I know, I know, I’m asking for it but damn it if it isn’t fun to post every time he teases us with something about a fourth installment.

The newest tease comes courtesy of his official Instagram account where he posted a picture of a new skull ring and stating that he’s finished designing it for the fourth film. Check out Stallone’s cryptic message below!

At this point, I think we’ll get a sequel to Mile 22 before we get another Expendables film but hey who knows. There’s been numerous stories throughout the years with the latest being that Jason Statham was going to take center stage but at this time it’s anybody’s guess.

As all you action fanatics know, The Expendables is the action franchise that has featured some of the greatest action giants in history such as Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, Jet Li, Bruce Willis, Chuck Norris and, of course, Arnold Schwarzenegger. The first film came out in 2010 while the sequels dropped in 2012 and 2014 respectively. The last film was a commercial failure here in the States but it did make bank overseas. Fans have been clamoring for another entry and for it to be bad ass. The franchise has amassed over $800 million at the world wide box office so that’s some pretty impressive coin.

Stallone has gone back and fourth on whether he would do another one so at this point it’s anybody’s guess but this new post is absolutely going to get people talking once again.

Randy Couture, who plays heavy machine gunner Toll Road in the franchise, has also teased fans of something coming in the future as well.

With this news, speculation will run rampant on who should be in the new film with names like Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Keanu Reeves and Donnie Yen just being some of the heavyweights that are being thrown into the rumor mill.

I will surely keep my eye on this and I sure hope we get one last hard R rated adventure with Barney Ross and company. Keep it locked and loaded right here for more to come as we are your destination for everything action!

Maybe we’ll get something more concrete in the future or maybe this tease will die like all the rest. One thing is for sure, if we get concrete, definite proof that one is actually happening, hell will probably freeze over.
