We’ve got some pretty cool casting news for you tonight as Deadline is bringing official confirmation that Jason Clarke, Michelle Monaghan & Jai Courtney are enlisting for a new action film project titled Black Site which is coming from Basil Iwanyk, Erica Lee who produced the one and only John Wick as well as Sicario.

L-R: Jason Clarke, Michelle Monaghan and Jai Courtney

Per Deadline: Black Site centers on a group of officers based in a labyrinthine top-secret CIA black site who must fight for their lives in a cat-and-mouse game against Hatchet, a brilliant and infamous high-value detainee. When Hatchet escapes, his mysterious and deadly agenda has far-reaching and dire consequences.

Basil Iwanyk, Erica Lee will produce through their newly formed Asbury Park production banner with first-time filmmaker Sophia Banks helming the pic from a script penned by Jinder Ho. Production is expected to commence in February on the Gold Coast, Australia.

The plot sounds pretty cool and it has a kind of horror vibe with it as our protagonists will be fighting for their lives from a madman who thinks he’s all that.

Producer Erica Lee commented on the hiring of Banks to direct, who has a slew of commercials and short films under her belt.

“We were huge fans of her shorts and have been looking for the right project to collaborate on. Sophia has a distinct visual approach and her take on Black Site blew us away.”

Of course, we have a wait on this one as production isn’t even underway yet but keep it locked and loaded right here for more as we are your destination for everything action!
