JIU-JITSU: The New Poster Hails the November Release Date for the Epic Sci-Fi Martial Arts Actioner!

By: John M Jerva

The official Facebook page for the upcoming martial arts/sci-fi action hybrid Jiu-JITSU has released a brand new poster which hails the November 20th release date. The one sheet, which is viewable right below features Nicolas Cage, Tony Jaa, JuJu Chan and headliner Alain Moussi who plays an elite warrior who must battle an alien race to save the world!

The film is also officially rated R so I’m expecting some pretty brutal combat in this one. Frank Grillo also stars in the film which was helmed by Kickboxer: Retaliation director Dimitri Logothetis. He also co-wrote the script with Jim McGrath. This film is a passion project of Moussi’s and the movie took the place of the court Kickboxer film which will now shoot later. Rounding out the cast is Rick Yune (Olympus Has Fallen) and Marie Avgeropoulos (50/50).

Jiu-Jitsu is set up as “a new Sci-Fi Martial Arts franchise from Dimitri Logothetis, Director/Producer of Kickboxer: Retaliation” and the official synopsis reads: Every six years, an ancient order of expert Jiu Jitsu fighters faces a vicious alien in a battle to protect Earth. For thousands of years, the fighters that protect Earth have played by the rules…until now. When celebrated war hero Jake Barnes (Moussi) is defeated by Brax, the Alien invader, the future of humanity hangs in the balance. Injured and suffering from amnesia, Jake is rescued by Wylie (Cage), Keung (Jaa), Harrigan (Grillo) and his team of fellow Jiu Jitsu fighters. They must help Jake to regain his strength in order to band together and defeat Brax in an epic battle that will once again determine the fate of mankind.

Jiu-JITSU releases on November 20th so expect first footage to drop anytime and you’ll see it here as we are your destination for everything action!
