Just in case you were having Scott Adkins or Dolph Lundgren news withdrawals today, which I was of course, we are now officially your one stop shop for both action stars as news coming out of the European Film Market in Berlin has the two action powerhouses ready to go toe to toe again in a new action flick titled Castle Falls.
The report comes via The Hollywood Reporter and with it Adkins will be playing the heroic lead to Lundgren’s antagonist once again in a tale about a man who must take on rival gangs in a deadly game of cat and mouse inside a building ready to be demolished.
Per THR: The film, set to go into production mid-March in Alabama, sees Adkins play Mike, a struggling fighter forced to take on a foreman job at a local condominium that is set to be demolished. With just eight hours before the building, strapped with dynamite, is destroyed, two vicious local gangs, one led by Lundgren’s character, Shea, break in to retrieve millions of dollars stowed away in one of the apartments. When Mike stumbles across the money, a game of cat and mouse ensues.
VMI Worldwide is launching the epic sounding flick and VMI CEO Andre Relis was all excited while talking about the two action stars teaming up again. “This combo with action stars Dolph Lundgren and Scott Adkins is just what the buyers are looking for, and we are excited to be working with Dolph again,”
Relis will produce alongside Lundgren’s longtime manager Craig Baumgarten via Wonder Street Productions.
Dolph Lundgren was also quoted in the article saying: “Great to be back directing again. Looking forward to working with Scott Adkins for the fourth time. Excited to produce with my old friend Craig Baumgarten. Castle Falls is an entertaining script with hardcore action, great characters and an emotional center of transformation and compassion.”
Both Adkins and Lundgren are two of the busiest action stars working today with Adkins also having Legacy Of Lies and Seized hitting this year along with the highly anticipated The Debt Collector 2 and Lundgren coming off huge success with both Creed II and Aquaman.
This marks the fourth time the duo will have worked together with the stars also appearing together in Legendary, The Expendables 2 and Universal Soldier: Day Of Reckoning.
Anyway you slice it, action fans win in the end as both Adkins and Lundgren always deliver the action packed goods. Keep it locked and loaded right here for more to come on Castle Falls!
