With Rambo: Last Blood in his rear view mirror, action legend Sylvester Stallone is looking towards the future and with it his next project which will definitely be a switch for the actor. Stallone’s newest feature is labeled Samaritan and it has Sly taking on the comic book movie genre in a darker tale.
Stallone recently took to his Instagram account to announce that he’s back in the gym and getting physically and mentally ready for the role and that production is a few months away. Take a look see at the post below which features Sly wielding something the All Mighty Thor would be proud of!
Julius Avery will helm the movie which tells the story of a young boy who sets out on an incredible journey to find out if a mythical superhero who mysteriously vanished 20 years ago is still alive. Stallone will take on the role of the forgotten hero. Bragi F. Schut who also wrote Escape Room is penning the script which will see Stallone also produce with his Balboa Productions Banner partner Braden Aftergood.
MGM will be putting out the feature which will most certainly hit theaters late next year or early 2021 at the latest.
I’m excited about the film as it will be a departure for Sly but I can’t help but wonder if we will ever see the fourth Expendables film Stallone has been teasing on and off again for years. At any rate, keep it locked and loaded right here for more 411 to come on this and Stallone’s other future projects!
