The Toronto After Dark Film Festival is poised and ready to be unleashed starting on October 17th and the annual film event dropped the 411 on its list of entries this year which includes the X-Men-esque, sci-fi, martial arts action-thriller Enhanced from director James Mark who brought us the kick ass, fisticuffs filled film Kill Order as well as the bone crunching Jason Bourne-esque fight flick Contracts which was lensed by premiere fight choreographer Alex Chung. Both films will make their debuts at the TADFF later this month and we have the teasers for you that includes all the break neck action you can handle!

First up, Kill Order director James Mark is back along with his brother Chris in the new kick ass looking action pic Enhanced which looks like it has the same brutal and fast paced ingredients that their first film had.

Official Synopsis per TADFF: Packed with kick-ass action and super-powered throw downs, James Mark’s ENHANCED is a thrilling new sci-fi action flick set to delight fans. In the vein of X-MEN, when a sinister government organization declares them illegal, a group of ‘enhanced’ mutant outcasts including a young woman (CARDINAL’S Alanna Bale) go on the run. But when a super-enhanced serial killer emerges on the scene, the dynamics between hunter and prey changes. Adding extra action to the cast is Canadian Olympic icon and martial artist Elvis Stojko!

James and Chris Mark are well known in the stunt and fight professional field as they are both accomplished stunt experts and fight coordinators and along with Enhanced and Kill Order, James also helmed the adrenalized crime-thriller On The Ropes which starred veteran stunt pros Can Aydin and Phong Giang.

Chris has offered his stunt and fighting expertise on such films like Suicide Squad, xXx: The Return Of Xander Cage, Pacific Rim and most recently, Roland Emmerich’s WWII epic Midway.

Enhanced is making its world premiere at the TADFF and I’m sure we will get word of distribution soon after that just vlike the previous two films so check out the teaser below and if you’re in the area, check out the film in Toronto and visit the official website for ticket info!

If that doesn’t fill your quota for bone jarring action then the TADFF has another round of fast and furious standoffs with the hard hitting title Contracts which hails from celebrated fight choreographer Chung Chung who helms this time around. Peep at the synopsis and flying fists and feet in the new teaser below courtesy of the TDAFF!

Fight choreographer Alex Chung channels JOHN WICK and JASON BOURNE with this hard-hitting action packed crime thriller about a jaded hitman who finds himself in a fight to the death with a group of vicious assassins. Packed with jaw-breaking fights, intense duels and dangerous stunts, CONTRACTS is a hardcore action movie fan’s delight!

Chung also stars as well along with Margaryta Soldatova, Kyle Stewart, Christena Gaunce, Dan Sanderson, Jermaine Carty, Neil Bishop, Michael Carter, Jonathan Pang, and Rufio Luey among others.

Judging from the adrenaline fueled teaser trailer that is available on the site, this film will certainly please action and fight genre fans who are looking to feed their appetites for some old fashioned beatdowns and with the talent involved, audiences are in for one wild ride.

Check out these films and many more at the Toronto After Dark Film Festival website! The event runs from October 17th until the 25th so by all means, check out the goods at the website for this and much, much more!
