Haven’t heard much about this one in a while but it looks like Dave Bautista’s newest action vehicle is finally revving up as Screen Daily is bringing the exclusive word that The Killer’s Game from director D.J. Caruso is finally going in front of the cameras later this year.

Bautista is joined by rapper icon and actor Ice Cube in a tale that “centers on a jaded assassin who orders a hit on himself only to learn his girlfriend is pregnant. With a new lease on life, the hitman and his girlfriend must race across Europe to outrun his would-be killers.

Morena Baccarin (Deadpool, Gotham, the upcoming Greenland) and Kris Wu (xXx: Return Of Xander Cage, Valerian) are reported to be in talks for roles in the film which was scripted by Simon Kinberg who recently directed the mega flop Dark Phoenix. The film mis based on the novel by Jay Bonansinga and Caruso and Peter Landesman handeled script revisions.

The Killer’s Game is expected to start filming on December 2nd on location in The Dominion Republic as well as Miami. Capstone Group is hadling worldwide sales in Toronto at the Toronto International Film Festival and it is being said that the producers want a commitment of a 1,500 theater release here in the U.S.
