After giving us a tease of what’s to come, Tony Jaa and the Panna Stunt Team have unveiled a brand-new trailer for their ambitious new martial arts-action project which looks to signal the return of authentic, old-school bone breaking Muay Thai action and the return of the GOAT in Tony Jaa. This project, which looks to pay homage to the late, great Thai action filmmaker Panna Rittikrai while delivering jaw dropping, brutal Thai action design is exactly what the doctor ordered for hardcore fans of action cinema. Jaa reunites with old allies in Dan Chupong and JeeJa Yanin with a new generation being ushered in at the same time with a perfect infusion of merging old and new. Scroll below for your first look at the ultimate Muay Thai smackdown and the return of an icon!
TRAILER TACTICAL REACTION: Even though this new project is still a mystery in terms of name and synopsis, seeing iconic Thai action stars like Jaa, Chupong and Yanin throwdown one again is everything we could hope for. The project is clearly an emotional tribute to Rittikrai with his most famous students coming together to demonstrate why they are the best and the trailer is loaded with insane fight design including all the knees and elbows delivering massive, blunt force trauma that will satisfy even the most jaded axction fan. This is authentic Muay Thai martial arts excellence. No wires. No CGI. Just stripped down, brutal, gritty and devastating. Jaa looks sensational after battling cancer and winning and it is nothing short of tremendous to see him back in action and proving that there is no substitute. With everyone jumping on the bandwagon for The Furious (which is well deserved), it’s important to remember that Jaa, Rittikrai and company were redefining martial arts action decades ago with elite martial combat that was second to none.
There is much more to come with this new project from Tony Jaa and the Panna Stunt Team so lock ‘n’ load right here for future intel as we are the ultimate destination for your action fix!
