Happy New Year a few weeks early as we have confirmation that besides Jason Statham, who is bringing the action with Shelter next month, fellow action icon Michael Jai White (Spawn, Undisputed 2: Last Man Standing) will be ushering in 2026 with a brand-new action-thriller! Titled Oscar Shaw (Yep! That’s the name), White is undoubtedly about to bring the fisticuffs and firepower in a savage tale of revenger and retribution. Samuel Goldwyn Films has recently launched the trailer and poster for the flick, and you can now scroll below for all the latest hard hitting Michael Jai White action you can handle!
After retiring from the police force, a relentless detective haunted by the tragic loss of his closest friend sets out on a perilous quest for vengeance, seeking redemption and fighting to restore justice to the streets he once swore to protect.
Indie action auteur R. Ellis Frazer (Rumble, Repeater) and Justin Nesbitt co-direct from a script penned by Don Roff. Michael Jai White headlines along with a solid action cinema cast including The Fast and the Furious franchise alum Tyrese Gibson and Isaiah Washington. Producers include Vince Jolivette, Richie Hil, Jiarui Guo, Ojan Missaghi and David Wachs.
White certainly had a busy year in 2025 with appearing in four films as well as the TV series The Family Business which I will be checking out. The action films from this year included Trouble Man, Hostile Takeover and Exit Protocol which I had the distinct pleasure in talking with the action star for a second time on the site. Oscar Shaw looks to pay homage to the gritty, stripped down and bleak cop thrillers of the 70’s and White always owns the screen when he’s doing his thing. Bad cops, bad blood and bad attitude are in order for this one and White always delivers the stone-cold bravado in his films. Can’t wait for this one to drop!
