I literally just did another article about Aaron Eckhart starring a new action film from genre filmmaker Renny Harlin title Trial by Fire and now I have more intel for a sequel to one of Eckhart’s more gritter cop actioners named Muzzle. The new film is titled Muzzle: City of Wolves and it features Eckhart returning as rogue K-9 cop Jake Rossner who has a new partner with a bad attitude worse than his. The sequel hits theaters this Friday and we have the new trailer and intel for you below!
In 2023, Stalberg directed the film Muzzle, starring Aaron Eckhart. The story follows Jake
Rosser, an LAPD K-9 officer (Eckhart), and his canine partner, Ace, who is trained to sniff
out drugs. When Ace is killed in the line of duty, Jake grapples with his grief and begins
to reconsider his life and career.
The film’s popularity with fans and success on streaming platforms spawned a franchise,
with Stalberg directing and producing its sequel, Muzzle: City of Wolves, which
reintroduces Eckhart in the leading role. The film will be released in theaters on
November 14, 2025, by IFC Films.

Synopsis: Jake Rosser is haunted by PTSD from his days as a K-9 officer and endeavors to
lead a peaceful life with his family and retired K-9 companion, Socks. But the tranquility
quickly dissolves when a ruthless gang targets them in a brutal attack. Determined to
protect his loved ones, Jake and his new K-9 partner Argos delve into a violent
underbelly of crime where Jake confronts corrupt officials, uncovers a perilous drug
trafficking ring, and battles his own inner demons.
Eckhart stars along with Tanya van Graan, Karl Thaning, Nicole Fortuin, and Dean Goldblum.
The first film was a stripped down and brutal crime-thriller that featured a standout performance from Eckhart. The film also dealt with some pretty heavy issues about PTSD and what cops go through on the savage streets protecting civilians. Make no mistake though as the movie contained ample amounts of mayhem and expertly crafted action sequences and featured a new breed of hero in K-9 officer Socks who is a German Shepherd with a set of titanium teeth and a very bad attitude. The new film features a new partner in Argos who looks just as bad ass so expect more violent tendencies to be on display. Get ready because there’s a new breed of warrior on the streets.
