The Chinese streaming service iQIYI strikes again as the prolific streamer of all things Hong Kong action and other genres is readying their latest old school, retro style bullet fest for release. Titled appropriately enough Relentless Fury (which just screams 90’s DTV bloodshed), the film stars formidable action heavyweights Andy On (Blind War, Hunt the Wicked) and Vanness Wu (Dragon Blade, Ip Man 4: The Finale) as two elite killers on a collision course with each other.
Forget the plot and subtitles because it’s all about the action here so do yourself a favor and check out the new and deliciously bombastic footage below!
If having On and Wu starring in Relentless Fury wasn’t enough, the film was helmed by Jimmy Hung who just happens to be the son of iconic martial arts action star Sammo Hung. That’s some serious and legit action cred there and it would appear that it’s like father like son as the younger Hung has understood the assignment he was given and has delivered an adrenaline spectacle that John Woo would be proud of. Hung shared the trailer and new key art on his official Instagram page.
That’s all we have on the film right now but we do know that Relentless Fury is ready to be unleashed on July 11th on iQIYI!
