This April, Batman and The Punisher are teaming up to take out the trash as The Accountant 2 is set to assault theaters on the 25th of the month! OK, I know it’s technically not actually Batman and Frank but it’s damn near close enough as Ben Affleck and Jon Bernthal reunite as expertly skilled and severely dangerous brothers in the upcoming sequel. The first film was a sleeper hit smash amongst action cinephiles and the follow up promises to bring more and amp up the chemistry between the two stars as well as the action.
New key art is hitting the web showcasing the leads and they are tacking up and going hard in the new one sheet which teases the rousing finale of the film. Check it out below!

Affleck’s Christian Wolff is definitely one of his best characters and most complex as well bring a high functioning autistic genius who just happens to be tactically proficient in military style situations. Bernthal brings the heat as well as his brother Brax and while the two shared limited screen time in the original, that is rectified here as the two stars will battle nefarious forces and each other at the same time.
The official synopsis for the film reads: Christian Wolff (Ben Affleck) has a talent for solving complex problems. When an old acquaintance is murdered, leaving behind a cryptic message to “find the accountant,” Wolff is compelled to solve the case. Realizing more extreme measures are necessary, Wolff recruits his estranged and highly lethal brother, Brax (Jon Bernthal), to help. In partnership with U.S. Treasury Deputy Director Marybeth Medina (Cynthia Addai-Robinson), they uncover a deadly conspiracy, becoming targets of a ruthless network of killers who will stop at nothing to keep their secrets buried.
Gavin O’Connor (Warrior) returns to helm from a screenplay penned by Bill Dubuque, who wrote the 2016 original. Cynthia Addai-Robinson (The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, Colombiana, Star Trek Into Darkness), returns as well with J.K. Simmons (Whiplash, Spider-Man, Red One). Marybeth Medina, Daniella Pineda (Jurassic World Dominion, Plane, Cowboy Bebop), Allison Robertson (The 31, Me and My Darkness) also star.
There was actually another poster released a while back which I missed out on so I’m rectifying that now by posting it below. The one above is a little better and more action oriented, but the below version certainly highlights the other plot tropes that the movie delivers.
