After getting a mysterious text on my phone yesterday, it was announced that a new trailer for the John Wick spin-off Ballerina would be dropping today. To coincide with the special event, new images have also surfaced featuring star Ana de Armas as well as fellow cast members Norman Reedus and returning John Wick universe alum Ian McShane, and Anjelica Huston. The special live trailer drop featured a special message from de Armas herself as well as exclusive giveaways including a lucrative all-expense paid trip to the world premiere.
It took a long time to get there as we had to sit through a bevy of giveaways of which I did not win a single one, but the trailer finally dropped. It did not disappoint as some poor guy gets shot in the nuts, there’s vehicular warfare, Gun Fu galore and we now know that Baba Yaga is sent to take Eve out which leads to an epic showdown between the two elite assassins. From the World of John Wick: Ballerina hits on June 6th so be seeing you!

Ana de Armas will play a lethal lady skilled in tactical violence who seeks to avenge her family when they are killed by hitmen. The film takes place in the shared universe of Wick so franchise stars will include Ian McShane as Winston as the owner of the Continental Hotel, along with the late, great Lance Reddick as Charon, who is The Continental’s concierge and right-hand man to Winston. Anjelica Huston will also reprise her role as the Director, the head of the Ruska Roma while franchise star Keanu Reeves will make an appearance as Wick himself. New cast members include Norman Reedus, Catalina Sandino Mareno, David Byrne, and David Castañeda.
Ana de Armas stars as a young lady named Eve Macarro who is drawn into the world of the High Table when her family is murdered. Ian McShane’s Winston takes her in and brings her to the infamous ballerina school where all is not what it seems and she is trained to eliminate those who wronged her and essentially “To stop the assassin, you must become the assassin.”
Mass carnage and expertly choreographed mayhem ensues as Eve transforms into a nonstop killing machine and sets her sights on everyone that is responsible for her family’s death. Even Wick himself gets involved as Keanu Reeves, of course, makes an appearance to take Eve out before she can complete her blood-soaked journey of destruction and vengeance.
