ESX Entertainment has given us not one but five all new clips for their upcoming modern day western actioner Day of Reckoning. The film boasts a sensational action cast including genre icon Billy Zane (Sniper, Titanic), Zach Roerig (The Vampire Diaries) and action superstar Scott Adkins (Take Cover, John Wick: Chapter 4). Bringing the tried-and-true western trope of a few against many, Day of Reckoning is a solid and entertaining kick ass, old school throwback actioner filled with ample and bloody shootouts mixed with brutal and savage fisticuffs with Adkins going rogue for this one as a lethal criminal who wants his wife back at any costs.

Official Synopsis: On the verge of losing his wife and his job as sheriff, put-upon lawman John Dorsey reluctantly teams up with bullish U.S. Marshall Butch Hayden to hold outlaw Emily Rusk hostage. A battle of wills ensues as Emily turns the posse on themselves, but as her marauding husband and his gang approach, Emily and John realize they will need each other to survive.

Day of Reckoning is set to hit theaters exclusive and it’s a welcome sight to see Adkins go rogue as he’s been playing the hero a lot as of late. Zane can never turn in a bad performance so here’s hopping Adkins is let loose as he will undoubtedly lay waste to many in this one.
Adkins stars as Kyle Rusk with Zane playing Marshall Butch Hayden in the pic. Adkins is described as a violent husband who is the leader of a bank robbing biker gang so I’m sure he had a lot of fun with it and will get savage in the fight sequences. This one has a reversal of fortune vibe here as it resonates a little of Close Range which starred Adkins as the anti-hero. Now he’s in the other side of one hell of a house invasion so expect mass destruction, a healthy barrage of bullets and some hyper-fierce CQB action.
